Appointments for Adults
It might be that this is your first time seeking therapy and you are unsure what to expect. Or perhaps you have worked with a therapist or counsellor before and have some idea of what it might be like.
Either way, I aim to answer any queries you may have before getting started. Please do get in touch if you are unable to find the answer to your question here.
Should we work together?
I offer both online and in-person services.
To find out if we might be a good fit for working together, I offer a free 20 minute video introductory call where we can discuss what you are looking for and how I work with people.

Assessments
Once we’ve had an introductory call, you can book your first full session. I’ll email you a link to my online booking system so you can pick a time that works for you.
These early sessions are really just about getting to know you and understanding what’s been going on — enough for me to suggest a way forward that feels right. This usually takes somewhere between one and three sessions.
Occasionally, I might realise I’m not the best fit for what you need right now. If that happens, I’ll be honest with you about why, and offer to help you find other kinds of support that might suit you better.
Making a Plan
Once we’ve got a clearer picture together, we’ll talk about where to focus, roughly how long we might work together, and what that could look like. This includes the kind of therapy that might suit you best. As we go along, we’ll check in now and then on how things feel and whether anything needs to shift to better support what you’re working towards. For example, that might mean carrying on a little longer than we first planned or finishing sooner.
Starting therapy can feel a bit daunting. If it does for you, know that you’re in very good company. Almost everyone feels that way at first. What I offer is a warm, confidential, and non-judgemental space, where helping you feel safe and supported always comes first. If we do go on to work together, I’ll be right alongside you. This is an active, shared process, and we’ll be working towards the changes you’re hoping for together.
