Yoga with Heart Mind Body

I weave yoga principles and practices into psychological therapy where helpful, but I also teach yoga outside of therapy. You can learn more about bringing therapy and yoga together by clicking the button below to take you to my blog article:

If you are interested in yoga lessons, I offer both group yoga classes and private yoga sessions online. You can find out more about these below.

The flows and practices I teach are mindfulness-based, as well as trauma-sensitive and based in the science and practice of compassion. I take a body-positive approach that is all about helping you to discover and connect to what feels good for you in your unique body.

Ultimately, my hope is to help you to befriend your mind and body and to feel empowered in addressing your whole wellbeing.

My style of teaching is authentic, easygoing and generally playful!

Yoga Classes

I teach the following classes using the Kuula online platform at https://kuula.tv/heart-mind-body.

Start with Heart - Morning Flow

30 minutes – All levels

A shorter vinyasa-based class to start your day.

We start gently and begin to build energy, cultivating a supportive mindset for the day ahead. Classes include mindful movement and breathwork and often include principles from psychology.

Suitable for those beginning a yoga practice.

Heart Mind Body Evening Flow

1 hour – All levels

A full-length vinyasa class to draw your day to an end.

Move and process the energy of the day through your body, before beginning to wind down in preparation for the evening. Classes can include mindful movement, breathwork, meditation, as well as psychological principles.

Suitable for those beginning a yoga practice.

Private Yoga Sessions

I offer one-to-one yoga sessions online that can be tailored to your needs and preferences.

  • For beginning or expanding a yoga practice

Perhaps you are completely new to yoga and would like some individualised support with starting a practice. Or you have a little experience of yoga, but would value some time together to look more closely at certain aspects of your practice, such as the physical postures (asanas), breathwork, meditation, or philosophy.

Within private sessions, I am also able to teach yoga Nidra and complete a breath assessment.

Yoga Nidra means ‘sleep’ yoga and is a deep and powerful form of guided meditation done lying down.

A breath assessment explores how effectively you are breathing for maximising health and wellbeing. This includes examining location and rate of breath, intensity of breathing, and ratio of inhale to exhale. I will then teach you practices to improve and optimise your breathing.

  • Specialist sessions for mental health

I also offer specialist sessions where you can be assured, with my background as a clinical psychologist, that you are in safe hands if you wish to explore yoga for supporting your mental health. For example, if you wish to explore yoga for anxiety, low mood, living well with chronic pain, or a trauma-sensitive approach to yoga.

I can help you to learn how and when yoga is a beneficial practice for mental health and psychological wellbeing, as well as to know when you may need a greater level of support than yoga alone.

Please contact me to discuss what you are looking for from private sessions.
